Hi,
My name is Blair Bartels and I am a motorsport nut and trying to be a journalist.
Ever sinceĀ I can remember (and stories told before that) I have been obsessed with motorsport. I have grown up around the sport and love every second of it.
Not that i had much of a choice in the matter. My Father used to build race and rally cars all over the world, including the first privately (non-factory) entered car to win a round of the World Rally Championship. As well as this my mother used to race fairly competitively in MG’s and later a Nissan Bluebird.
Since 1997 I have been to every Targa event and met a lot of people which then led on to me being the media person for the NZ Fiesta Sporting Trophy, which has snowballed over the last three years into doing plenty of media work. The upshot of all that is that I have been to every NZRC event for the last three years and it doesn’t cost me very much at all
Keep an eye on the blog, I will be aiming to update it at least weekly with all the latest news and views. If you have any questions on a certain post, just ask a question in the comments section and I will do my best to answer it.
Cheers
Blair
